Throughout the duration of the project 4 official partner meetings were held. The first of them – Kickoff Meeting was organized in Gdansk on 30.11. – 01.12.2022. During the first day of the KoM the partners discussed the matters associated with the administration and management of the project, reviewed the project timeline, milestones, products, results and impacts. It was agreed that no modifications of the project schedule were necessary. Representatives of KTH, NTUA and TUB were also given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the research infrastructure and equipment operated by the Polish partner. On the second day of the KoM, the partners presented their institutions and GDANSK TECH researchers delivered short presentations about their fields of research and scientific interests, after the presentation a lively discussion and Q&A session ensued. Afterwards, the members of the NEPTUN core project team visited the premises of Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic company who manufactures towers for wind turbines. After visiting the construction and assembly halls, the attendees discussed the introduction of Industry 4.0 principles in the planned construction hall.
Second Partners Meeting was organized in Gdańsk on 11-14.09.2023. The first day of the Partners Meeting was dedicated to non-official talks regarding general project matters, since the participants of the Meeting drove to Ełk, where they visited PORTA Door factory on the following day. During informal working lunch on September 11, the partners discussed the proposed agenda of the Partners Meeting. September 12 was dedicated to the visit to the factory, meetings with PORTA engineering staff and Q&A session regarding the introduction of Industry 4.0 in the factory and options for scientific collaboration between the company and academia. On September 13, the partners convened in the premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, Gdansk University of Technology. The first part of this day’s proceedings was dedicated to discussing the project matters.
Next, the core project team visited new laboratories launched at the faculty. Afterwards, a Focus Group was held, the main topic of discussion consisted in Exploratory Research Project, however, the attendees also discussed fields of cooperation among the universities involved in the NEPTUN Project.
Third Partners Meeting was held during the NEPTUN Summer School on 23.09.2024. During the meeting, the partners discussed current progress of the project activities associated with the Cluster of Excellence, Exploratory Research Projects, the Book of Good Manufacturing Practice, and the research papers. Another point in the agenda was the discussion of proposals to be submitted as a result of cooperation in NEPTUN project. Project schedule was also reviewed and the partners agreed that no changes are necessary, and that the results and milestones will be reached. All the partners consented that the final year requires unchanged level of engagement in order to deliver the planned results.
Final meeting of the NEPTUN project partners was organized on 18.09.2025 and it was dedicated to summarizing the project progress and discuss any unresolved issues. Marek Chodnicki (GDANSK TECH) briefly summarized the project, indicating the main points on the project schedule, milestones and the most important events. The Partners discussed the contribution they brought into NEPTUN project and expressed their satisfaction with the proceedings and cooperation.
