NEPTUN Final Event – Final Conference and PhD Summer School and Workshop
The NEPTUN final event was organized between 15th and 19th September 2025 was a great opportunity to summarize the project and to continue its work. In fact, the event was larger than initially planned as it consisted of four activities:
NEPTUN Project Team at International Scientific Conferences
GDANSK TECH staff and members of the project teams from partnered institutions were encouraged to participate in international conferences. This activity contributed to increasing the level of excellence through cooperation with scientists from NTUA, KTH and TUB. Participation in conferences created an opportunity to share the scientific output created within NEPTUN project, to talk about the project’s results and tighten the cooperation within the partnership and beyond. The project team was present at three FAIM Conferences. Flexible Automation in Manufacturing international conference proceedings were held in 27 cities in 14 countries across the world, the first FAIM conference was held in 1991 in Limerick, Ireland.

On September 11-13, we hosted representatives of partner universities at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology: Prof. Lihui Wang from the
Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Prof. George Vosniakos from the National Technical University of Athens, and Thomas Braun from Technische Universität Berlin
Stakholders and Industry Info Days
Presentation of the objectives of the NEPTUN project, Industry 4.0 assumptions, Implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept in small and medium-sized enterprises. These topics were discussed during the meeting Stakeholders and Industry Info Day and 5. Meetings of the Entrepreneurs' Council at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, which took place last Thursday at the Eureka Hotel in Sopot.
